Things to do in Dune Allen

Dune Allen encompasses Topsail Hill State Park which includes miles of hiking trails, a state park beach, and ample opportunities for camping and fishing. The park is named for the arching dunes rising above the waters like the sail of a ship and is quite a sight to behold. In addition to these dunes, there are pine forests, sandy scrubland, and marshes which are home to several unique species of plants and animals.

Santa Rosa Golf & Beach Club is the member-owned golf course and private beach club located on scenic Highway 30A. Hugging the sugar-white sandy beaches, the club spans across more than 85 acres providing members and guests - with access to golf, dining and more. The club boasts an 18 hole, par 72 championship golf course, a beautiful Beach Club with private pool and beach access, plus dining – including the club’s signature restaurant located directly on the Gulf of Mexico, Vue on 30A.

Breakfast & Brunch: It’s easy to enjoy brunch with a view at, where else but The Vue, the onsite restaurant at the Santa Rosa Beach Club. The only thing better than their menu is the gulf-front dining room. In a hurry? Pop into Sunrise Coffee for an iced coffee and one of Charlie’s donuts or a yummy breakfast biscuit. Kith & Kin is an unexpected treat sitting right inside the gates to Topsail State Park but accessible to the public. Their trademark welcome “come for the coffee; stay for the community” says it all.

Lunch: Need to feed a crowd? Pizza By The Sea serves up pizza, sandwiches, and pasta the whole family will enjoy. Outdoor dining only. Listen to live music and don’t miss the tuna dip (with magical jalapeno marmalade) at Shunk Gulley. Stay for a cocktail and watch the sunset on the second-floor patio. There are plenty of TVs to watch the big game and listen to the waves crash at the same time. Roll Tide.

Supper and Snacks: Enjoy their signature cocktail, Stink Juice, while you wait for a table at Stinky’s Fish Camp. or indulge in one of the best Bloody Marys at the beach served with quite the array of garnishes. Be sure to start with an order of boudin bites and oysters on the half shell while the kids can play on the dock and watch the turtles. Elmo’s has been serving fresh seafood and steaks for over 26 years. Dig into their all-you-can-eat seafood platter on the open-air porch. Local Catch is a low-key, local spot. Sarah loves the fresh seafood, beer on tap, and local music in a laid-back atmosphere.
