Welcome back to my series, 30A for 30 Days, where we are covering everything you need to know about 30A. My name is Megan Martinez. I am the unofficial mayor of 30A and thrilled to be your guide. Where is 30A and what makes it so special? 30A is a collection of delightful and unique little beach towns dotted along a 20 mile stretch of County Highway 30A.

That’s where it gets its nickname.  Highway 30A is a tiny two lane road between Destin and Panama City Beach, Florida. But unlike our larger and neighboring cities, 30A is a quiet and quaint community. We have three national brands on all of 30A. The other businesses are locally owned and so it really creates It’s a much different atmosphere and part of the reason people really love vacationing here.

We are definitely on beach time. We have powder white sand, crystal turquoise blue water, and because we’re protected up on the Gulf of Mexico, the water is typically really, really calm and clear. 38 also has these rare and beautiful coastal dune lakes only found in five other places across the entire globe and we have. 

Beyond the natural beauty of 30A, we also have some of the most incredible architecture.

I’ve put together a series to tell you everything you need to know about what it’s like to live, work, and play on 30A. Today I’m going to give you a lay of the land. The east end goes from Rosemary Beach to Grayton Beach.

The biggest differentiator  between the east end and the west end is the east end has All of the large master plan communities. So you can imagine that makes the East end a little bit busier. There’s more restaurants, there’s more shops. You’re really never far away from everything that you need from a real estate.

standpoint, price per foot of real estate is higher on the east end. Homes are very desirable in those master plan communities. West end is known by locals as the West end is the best end. And that’s because the West end. Is a little bit quieter. It’s not that the west end doesn’t have shops and restaurants and coffee shops Some of my favorite places and if you come to 38 some of your favorite places are down on the west end But the best part is there is something for Everyone, so i’m curious.
