Nashville to 30A

BACK

Nashville to 30A

I traded in my cowgirl boots for flip flops and made the move from Nashville to the stunning emerald coast in mid-2018 and I’ve noticed a lot of similarities and connections between the two gorgeous southern cities.  We need to talk about the crazy connections between Nashville and 30A!

Fast Paced Growth and Tourism

When I moved to Nashville in 2005 to attend Belmont, it was a completely different Nashville.  By 2010,  Music City was really starting to “show up” on the map and by 2015 there wasn’t a skyline view that wasn’t adorned with a crane or 8.  Development boomed and hasn’t stopped!  In the same way, 30A is booming with tourism and growth.  We do have stricter development restrictions here on 30A to preserve the charm, so don’t expect crazy high-rises and fast food chains.  30A is dotted with locally owned restaurants, luxury beach homes, bike able sidewalks, and lots of smiling faces in flip flops and sun hats!

The Music Community

I see some of my music business friends and clients here on 30A more than I did when I lived in Nashville.  The slower pace and laid back lifestyle of 30A has been a draw for singers and songwriters for years and has lead to new collaborations, new songs, and also allowed to grow their wealth in the 30A real estate market.  The quick one hour flight from BNA into Panama City Airport and the 7.5 hour drive from Nashville to 30A makes our beaches easily accessible for a quick escape to paradise.

Cocktail Lovers

If you’ve ever spent time in Nashville,  you know that city loves a cocktail.  We aren’t too different here on 30A, but don’t come to 30A expecting  a broadway until 2am type of experience!  Here on 30A we turn up early and turn down early, with most bars and restaurants shutting down around 10pm.  Nashville has their staples like Tootsie’s, Roberts, and Red Door…and here on 30A we’ve got Bud N’ Alleys, Shunk Gulley, and Red Bar.

Bachelorette Parties

We all know that Nashville has become the bachelorette capital of the world.  Just one outing on Broadway in Nashville will leave you shocked at the number of gals tying the knot…where do they all come from?   Similarly, 30A has very quickly become a bachelorette destination for those looking to celebrate in coastal style before tying the knot and offers a more laid back, upscale experience for brides to-be.  Now lets just hope that we never see an open-air hot tub on a flat bed trailer rolling down 30A.  We’ll let Nashville keep that!

Famous Faces

Much like Nashville, don’t be surprised if you see a famous face in a swim suit and cover up eating at one of our local restaurants.  Famous Actors, singers, CEO’s, authors, motivational speakers, tech founders, and so many more renowned and accomplished people claim 30A as their primary home, second home or favorite vacation destination.  With the easy accessibility via car and plane, opportunity for short term rental income and long term equity, and laid back lifestyle, the rich and famous are loving the 30A area as their favorite place to own real estate and vacation.

FUN!

Both Nashville and 30A are insanely fun and beautiful places to live and visit.   Community, collaboration, and collective accomplishment are values that both cities share.  Neighbors take care of neighbors, you smile and wave at strangers,  and both are cities filled with warm people who will welcome you into their hearts and homes.

It’s crazy to think that I moved to two of the fastest growing areas in our nation, relatively speaking! Is it me?  Am I the trendsetter?

I guess we’ll never know because I’m not moving anywhere else!
